LexisNexis® launches Hosted FYI™ to meet litigators’ need for greater choice and control in e-discovery management
Press release: Hosted model joins desktop and outsourced options from LexisNexis® Discovery Services as part of the only true end-to-end suite of e-discovery offerings
Chicago, Ill. – March 22, 2007 – As the volume of electronic documents required for legal discovery grows exponentially each year, law firms increasingly seek the choice of e-discovery services that offer both the convenience and control of in-house management and the capacity, speed and security features of an outsourced offering.
To meet growing demand for this capability, today at the ABA Legal Tech conference in Chicago, LexisNexis® announces the launch of Hosted FYI™ – an online hosting and data processing service that offers the best of in-house control with the speed, capacity and security of an outsourced e-discovery vendor.
“We know law firms are challenged with housing, managing and protecting huge amounts of client data within their own computer systems, but we also know that litigators want control over the management of that data,” said Scott Nagel, vice president and managing director for LexisNexis® Discovery Services. “Hosted FYI alleviates storage concerns and delivers the choice of maintaining that control along with the confidence that issues around data security and integrity are thoroughly addressed.”
Hosted FYI™ joins the other products and services within the LexisNexis® Discovery Services product group that includes Concordance™, Applied Discovery®, the Data Collection & Forensics service, the Strategic Records & Information Management (sRIM) consultancy and more. This selection of services represents the industry’s first truly complete “end to end” e-discovery offering and exemplifies the LexisNexis Total Practice Solutions strategy of helping litigators win by offering them the most complete selection of litigation support services available.
How Hosted FYI Works
Hosted FYI™ combines the best of in-house case management software from Concordance™ and online viewer FYI™ with trusted offsite data hosting via Applied Discovery®, and was developed based on feedback from clients. Clients now have that choice with Hosted FYI™. They can deposit and manage information in the hosted database in their law firm or corporate office with the easy to use Concordance™ software and FYI™ interface – doing so with the added benefit of increased speed and security delivered by the large capacity of offsite data hosting long associated with Applied Discovery®.
