IE Discovery Awarded $5 Million Contract to Operate Litigation Technology Service Center for U.S. Attorneys’ Offices

Link to press release:  AUSTIN, TX–(Marketwire - January 14, 2008) - IE Discovery, a leading provider of Discovery Management solutions, announced today that it was awarded a $5 million contract by the Executive Office for United States Attorneys (EOUSA) to establish a Government-owned and Contractor-operated Litigation Technology Service Center to support United States Attorneys throughout the United States. The Center will be located in Columbia, South Carolina and support U.S. Attorney (USA) Offices in all 94 judicial districts in over 200 geographically dispersed sites within the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands.

“IE Discovery has a lot of experience developing and managing Litigation Technology Service Centers,” said Chris May, CEO of IE Discovery. “We believe that our success building Centers for the Unites States Navy was one of the key factors that lead to our selection.”

The contract calls for IE Discovery to provide comprehensive Discovery Management services to all US Attorneys’ Offices, assisting prosecutors and other USA staff in acquiring, organizing, analyzing, developing, preserving, and presenting both paper and electronic records. Specifically, IE Discovery will be responsible for services including scanning of paper records, e-file processing, OCRing, Bates-stamping, automatic and manual coding, de-duplication, key-wording and culling, and hosting litigation document collections.

“IE Discovery offers a complete range of Discovery Management services, and this was important to EOUSA,” said Patrick McColloch, IE Discovery’s Director of Government Programs. “We look forward to helping the U.S. Attorneys to manage their caseloads more effectively and efficiently.”

The contract includes a one-year base agreement with options for two additional years and contemplates the LTSC growing in size from approximately 5,000 square feet to 15,000-20,000 square feet in later years. United States Attorneys conduct most of the trial work in which the US is a party including prosecution of criminal cases brought by the Federal government, prosecution and defense of civil cases in which the US is a party and the collection of debts owed to the Federal government.
