The revised package includes the latest EDRM XML schema.

If you downloaded the Jan. 8 package, please replace it with the Jan. 9 package.

Updated EDRM XML materials available

An updated set of EDRM XML materials is available for download at http://edrm.net/xml_distrib/

The materials are in a downloadable .zip file containing:

  • Updated EDRM-XMLSchema.xsd
  • EDRM-MetadataTags.xls
  • Compliance data set folder containing edocs, email and TIFF
  • 20071218tree.xls listing contents of compliance data set folder
  • readme.txt

Please note that with the current schema and data set, 8 hash codes do not match.  We are working on correcting that.

These materials should replace any previously downloaded materials.

Under development:

  • Validation tool
  • Refinements to and potentially additional test data sets
  • Documentation

EDRM Launches New E-Discovery XML Standard and Presents Web Seminar on Use Cases, Benefits

Press release: Industry Leaders to Discuss How New Standard Will Improve Interoperability and Data Transfer throughout Discovery Process

St. Paul, MN (December 3, 2007) – The Electronic Discovery Reference Model (“EDRM”), an industry group created to develop and establish practical guidelines and standards for electronic discovery, today launches its Extensible Markup Language (XML) standard, now available for download at the EDRM Website (www.edrm.net). The standard allows for the easy transfer of electronically stored information (ESI) to and from applications involved in different phases of the discovery process.

E-discovery vendors, consultants, law firms, in-house counsel or corporate IT departments that are interested in learning more about the XML standard are invited to an educational Web seminar presented by EDRM at noon CST on Friday, December 7th.
